This is what the Goths wore. Though the word goth may pop an image of black clothes and makeup in your mind, the Ancient Goths are very different. The Goths wore the clothing of the Early Medieval Europeans. They were around from the 12th century to the 16th century AD. The Goths were a Germanic  tribe located in the regions around the Black Sea. There were two types of Goths, the Visigoths and the Ostrogoths. For a while, the Goths were allies of the Romans, even though they were seen as inferior by the Romans. They were Barbarians. The Romans did not see Goths as human because of this. However, they are known for playing a part in the fall of the Roman Empire. The Huns invaded the Goths and made the Goths invade the Romans. They did not achieve this alone but did contribute to the Fall of Rome. The Gauls spoke their own language along with the Germanic language. Gothic is also known as East Germanic. This is what one of their newer alphabets looked like.

Runic Languages of the ancient Germans by Faith and Josh

The Language of the Ancient Germans (Goths)
The languages of the Germans are the basis for many languages that still stand today. The language that started it all was the ancient runic language that began around 200 AD and fell in 600 ad with the rise of Christianity (and consequently Latin) in the Gothic state. the runes were often used in religious, magic, and medicine writings as well as writings on tombs. Norse-mythology.com says that the names of each of the runes "hinted at their magic meanings". The alphabet itself is named "Futhark" off of the first six letters of the runes. The name rune is taken from the word rûn that means ritual or mystery. These later came to be the basis of arcane circles, a magic ring used for casting spells. (Josh Harris and Faith Vandenberg)

Gothic weapons of the Gothic tribes by Abbi and Faith

The Weapons and Formations of the Germanic Tribes
The Germanic tribes were also called the Teutonic peoples. They had a spear, which was the most common form of weapon among the peoples. They also had the two-headed axe, along with the sword (only for upper classmen). The spear was so common among the people because it they allowed a relatively small quantity of the rare and expensive metal for the part of the blade that needed it. It was cheap compared to the sword of equal reach.
Other weapons they had were the javelin, the sling, bows/arrows, and staff sling. The cost factor for bows and arrows was put into place mainly because of the cost of the arrows, not so much the bows, once again because of the price of metal.
The formation that they fought in were the wedge-shape formations. These formations most noticeably consisted of cavalry (on the flanks). The Germans were most afraid of the Plains of Hungary, where the Marcomanni, Saxons/Angles, Alamanni, and Franks all presided. (Abbi Baptist and Faith Vandenberg)

It was dishonored for chief when his own group try to suppress him. Next to ancient Germanic people, it was Rome. Rome began to understand the German when Tacitus published his book in 98 AD.
